About
Modeled after a vintage multi-head tape machine with tape drift and magnetic saturation included, Tape Delay captures the character and rhythmic quirks of classic vintage delay hardware and offers familiar classic sounds. Level & Mix: Overall output level and the dry/wet balance. Time, Subdivision & Tempo: Change tape speed freely or lock it to host clock. Head Mode: Combine short, mid, and long playback heads to build rhythmic patterns. Feedback: Controls the amount of delay repeats. In multihead mode you can push the record head into self-oscillation. Wow & Flutter: Mechanical pitch instability from a worn tape motor. Tape Age: Ages the tape for darker repeats and adds lo-fi character. Drive: Overdrives the record amp into warm, asymmetrical clipping. Trails: Tape spins down and fades out on bypass.
