Anagram Tone Lab can live on your home screen like an app: its own icon, full screen, no address bar. Nothing to download from an app store, and it's always up to date.

iPhone or iPad
- Open anagramblocks.com in Safari (Chrome and Edge on iPhone work too).
- Tap the Share button: the square with an arrow pointing up. In newer Safari (iOS 26) it's inside the ⋯ or ☰ button in the address bar at the bottom; in Chrome it's at the top right.
- Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen. If you see Open as Web App, leave it on. Then tap Add.
- Open Tone Lab from your home screen. You may need to log in once; newer iPhones and iPads bring your Safari login along.
On iPhone, phone notifications only work from the home-screen app (iOS 16.4 or newer).
Android · Chrome
- Tap ⋮ at the top right.
- Tap Add to Home screen (or Install app), then Install.
Android · Samsung Internet
- Tap the ☰ menu at the bottom right.
- Tap Add page to, then Home screen.
If you see a small download-style icon in the address bar, tapping it does the same.
Android · Edge
- Tap ⋯ at the bottom.
- Tap Add to phone (on some versions, Add to Home screen).
Android · Firefox
- Tap ⋮.
- Tap Add to Home screen (or Install).
Computer · Chrome or Edge
- Click the small install icon at the right end of the address bar (a screen with an arrow), or open the browser menu and choose Install Anagram Tone Lab (in Edge: Apps → Install this site as an app).
