SP Custom guitars was created in 2003 by guitarist Spyros Panourgias in need for evolution of classical sound in electric instruments. The purpose is not just to enhance and simulate the sound of a classical guitar, but to create a different Nylon Electric, signaling a new era. In 2022 Spyros was looking for a preamp to better suit his guitars. After running into the engineer behind elmeri.dev at a guitar fair, the two became friends and started to develop a custom preamp together. Since then, SP Custom guitars have been equipped with an active piezo preamp from elmeri.dev designed to meet the tonal vision from Spyros. This plugin is a faithful digital recreation of the EQ section from that preamp.
