About

4K-E is a four-band channel equaliser modelled on the EQ card of the famous British large-format console. Each band follows the card's own topology. The bells are proportional-Q, so the working Q tightens as you add gain, the way the pot-loaded resonant network does in hardware, and the shelves are resonant two-pole designs that keep the small overshoot at the corner. LF and HF are shelves, and either one switches to a bell when you want to isolate a range. LMF and HMF are full parametric with continuous Q, LMF starting tight for surgical work and HMF broader for tone shaping. High-pass and low-pass filters sweep in from either end and park out of the way at their extremes. The Transformer switch adds a 1:1 line-output stage with a low-frequency rolloff and a core that saturates low frequencies first, so it thickens the bottom and softens the top. Output trims the level a boosted EQ adds. Cut with the shelves, carve with the bells, and reach for the Transformer when an EQ move needs weight behind it. Every control is smoothed at the coefficient level, so you can move anything while the amp is loud without clicks or pops. Features LF and HF shelves, plus or minus 15 dB, each switchable to bell LMF and HMF parametric bells, plus or minus 15 dB, continuous Q from 0.5 to 3 Proportional-Q bells that tighten as gain increases, like the original card HPF sweeps from 15 to 350 Hz, LPF from 23 kHz down to 3 kHz TRANSFORMER adds a 1:1 output stage with low-frequency core saturation OUTPUT trim, plus or minus 12 dB, for level matching after a boost Zero latency, and every parameter is click-free while you move it
