About

Sonic Enhancer is a phase-correction enhancer for presence and low-end authority. The main path is a cascade of first-order all-pass stages, magnitude-flat by construction, with a few milliseconds of group delay at the bottom that falls to nothing at the top. That realignment is what lets the enhancement sit inside your tone. Definition raises a phase-corrected high band and brings out fret detail and pick attack. Enhance does the same for the low band and adds weight underneath. Both bands come off the corrected path, so the crossover stays clear of comb filtering however far you push the two controls. Output compensates for the level they add. Set it once at the end of a chain, or push both controls for an obvious hi-fi lift. With both at zero the response is magnitude-flat. Features ENHANCE lifts a phase-corrected low band for weight and authority DEFINITION lifts a phase-corrected high band for attack and string detail All-pass phase correction keeps the crossover clear of comb filtering Magnitude-flat with both controls at zero OUTPUT trim, plus or minus 12 dB, for level matching Zero latency, with no lookahead and no added delay to compensate
