About

CRUSHER reduces the resolution of digital audio to create everything from subtle lo-fi coloration to heavily degraded textures. The Crush knob controls bit depth, ranging from unprocessed 24-bit audio through grainy, textured sounds and to 1-bit gated digital distortion and complete digital collapse. The Sample Rate knob sweeps counterclockwise from a clean 48 kHz down to 390 Hz, introducing aliasing and digital artifacts that range from subtle harmonic coloration to chaotic, ring-mod-like tones. Turning down the Stability knob adds random variation to the sample rate, creating movement and unpredictable digital glitches. The Filter shapes the crushed signal, while the Mix control blends it with the dry signal for anything from subtle enhancement to full-on destruction. Designed to work anywhere in your signal chain, CRUSHER can add subtle digital character or create extreme lo-fi and glitch textures in your sound.ControlsCrush: 24 to 1 bit Sample Rate: 390 Hz to 48 kHz Stability: 0% to 100% Filter: 20 Hz to 20 kHz Mix: 0% to 100% Volume: −12 dB to +12 dB
