Cognate Tuner – a free always-on tuner sitting in your Anagram’s signal chain

Cognate Tuner gives you a quick visual indication of your instrument’s tuning while you play, right in your preset’s signal chain – no need to open Anagram’s tuner.

The bright graphics are easy to read whether you have your chain zoomed in or out. The note name, arrows indicating whether the note is under or over pitch, a +/- cents readout and a colour-changing scale all show you at a glance whether you need to raise or lower that string’s pitch.

The tuning is chromatic, so it can handle bass, guitar or any instrument in standard or drop tuning. You can tune your bass’s B string and beyond without problems.

Inside the block, the interface shows you clearly the note name, the cents above/below to 0.1 cent accuracy and a strobe meter gives you an easy-to-read indication of relative tuning. If you’re not tuning to A440 concert pitch, you can set a different pitch with the Reference control.

Cognate Tuner passes your signal through unchanged. But if you want to mute the signal while tuning, switch Audio to Mute for click-less silent tuning.

You can bind the Bypass button to a footswitch to turn the tuner on and off, and with Mute on, this doubles as an easy-to-use mute function. Cognate Tuner is a free gift to you from Cognate Audio – enjoy!
