About
Classic British Crunch, Hot-Rodded
Bright-800 is inspired by the Marshall JCM800 2204 — the 50-watt master-volume circuit that set the template for British rock and metal rhythm tone. It travels from edge-of-breakup bite through aggressive crunch to cutting high-gain riffs, with fast attack and the pronounced upper-mid voice that puts a part in front of a mix instead of underneath it.
Two switchable hot-rodded preamp modes take the circuit further: the #34 mod adds focused gain and bite, while the #36 mod delivers thicker saturation and longer singing sustain. On bass, that same upper-mid emphasis makes Bright-800 a natural choice for grinding rock and punk tone — amp-driven dirt with enough presence to stay audible in a guitar-heavy arrangement.
Powered by the Mercuriall Neural Hybrid Engine, Bright-800 preserves the dynamic interaction of the original circuit, right through to the compression of its EL34 power stage. It is a pure amplifier model with no cabinet simulation built in — it was voiced to feed Anagram's onboard cabinet block, and its input level is calibrated to Anagram's input sensitivity for realistic gain staging and true response to pickup output, volume-control position, and external drive pedals.
